government and the community can adhere to the following steps to prevent
obesity and overweight among young people. These steps include working in
collaboration with families to transform their eating habits and level of
activity instead of channeling attention on weight. The second step is
encouraging youths to engage in physical activities and reducing the time they
spend watching television or surfing the internet to two hours or less in a
day. For adults,
they should be encouraged to eat lots of vegetables and fruits as well as eat a
balanced diet. The development and implementation of relevant programs
that encourage increased physical activity and healthy eating across
populations should also be encouraged for the prevention of obesity and its
associated diseases, applicable to the individuals.
